COVID -19 Task Force

A COVID-19 Task Force has been created in accordance with the guidelines for reopening Private Schools in Sharjah. This task force includes members from the following departments within the school concerned for: building & facilities, health & safety, school clinic medical staff, communication and partnerships with parents, student affairs, human resources and school academic affairs (curriculum and teaching).The School COVID-19 Task Force is responsible for all the precautionary measures for the school’s reopening and during the term. It conducts a risk assessment and ensures that the school is ready for reopening and operations.

The Task Force designates a team of school health and safety officers (H&S) who will be responsible for handling any emergency health situation, following up and monitoring the implementation of health and safety procedures, conducting all necessary trainings for students and staff, and disseminating awareness information to parents and other concerned stakeholders. This team is also responsible for the designated isolation room within the school premises.

The Primary Focus

To ensure all health and safety guidelines prescribed as in SPEA guidelines document and/or assigned by concerned health authorities, are in place prior to school reopening. Also, to ensure effective communication, risk assessment and training are in place to handle all possible scenarios.
