Global Innovation Challenge 2022

During the month of January 2022, Students from OOB had the unique opportunity to compete as in the prestigious Global Innovation Challenge 2022 conducted on behalf of GEMS Education. The contest took part on two days i.e., the 15th and 22nd of January 2022. This year, the contest witnessed 1600+ students participate in it from across the GEMS Network. All the participating teams presented their ingenious projects to a distinguished panel of judges who in turn provided valuable feedback on the future prospects of the projects.

The OOBites fought well against all the other teams while presenting their ideas with unparalleled confidence and enthusiasm which helped them emerge victorious later on. Shubhankar Ghosh of 12B (Senior Category) and Anish Jena of 6C (Junior Category) bagged the ‘GOLD’ awards and have been invited to attend a boot-camp with several industry leaders to further develop their ideas. On the other hand, another team comprising of Mayank Khandelwal (11A), Tanishq Lende (11A), Kunal Bijoy(11A), Mayank Upadhyay (11A) and Harsh Upadhyay (12B) bagged the ‘SILVER’ award (Senior Category) for which they would be presented with medals at the school level.
