SPOKEN- WORD POETRY

An Interschool Poetry Writing and Performance competition “SPOKEN- WORD POETRY” was organized on 14th October, 2021 at Gems Modern Academy, Dubai. Twelve schools from the different Emirates participated in this expression of thoughts and feelings. The students recited a self composed poem. The theme for the senior level was ‘The colour of _______’ and the juniors was ‘A Future without _______. Tarun Rawat of class10 won the 1stplace in the Junior Level and Mayur Jhamnani of class 12 won the 2nd place in Senior Level. Its indeed a proud moment that both our students won prizes. The young Poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and performance while reciting poems. This competition was adjudged by the Emirate Poetess Dr. Afra Atiq and Mrs Shamie Pateili. They appreciated and applauded the insight and thought of the students. The winners were awarded with a trophy, certificate and a book. It was an insightful day for all participants.
