This month, we commemorate Year of Zayed and focus on charity and health benefits aspects. We believe that ‘Joy of giving’ is the way of life. To render our students best amongst citizens, we strive to inculcate and instil the values of charity and kindness. 

We celebrated ‘Sewa Day’ on the 4th of October. Primary department put up an entertainment programme for the ancillary staff. Primary students, made key chains for all of 125 staff, also came up with choir session singing in English, Hindi & Malayalam. Staff also Took part in two fun filled interactive game & winner were awarded gifts. Dance was also showcased for staff to admire & enjoy. As icing on the cake, a goody bag was handed out with basic necessities like soap, toothpaste, toothbrush & socks. Materials were collected by Sewa volunteers & teachers of primary department.

As a step towards providing the deserving ones with a small gateway towards progress, we organized a collection drive collecting a box of pencils and a notebook from the student community right from Grades 1 to 12. Collection drive rans from 24th September to 4th October. It was well supported by the students. We collected 2,500 notebooks and 12,000 pencils, these materials were packaged and handed over to Mr. Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Hamadi, representative of Emirates Red Crescent on 13th November during the closing ceremony. Mr. Hamadi attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Closing ceremony included programmes such as a folk song by rhapsody club, group dance by dance club and a live Zayed painting session by artists of creative artist club. There are many people in our society who play a vital role in keeping our lives smooth and beautiful in various ways such as construction workers, public transport operators, litter collectors, etc. But many of them lack in basic tidings such as first aid. Hence, a group of students & well-trained teachers set out to a labour camp to create an awareness on First Aid and Responding Measures on the 6th of October.

Just like past years, this year also we had a medical camp for our ancillary staff. Camp was set up in association with Thumbay Hospital, Ajman on 7th October. Doctors assessed ancillary staff’s health in G.P, Sugar, B.P & Vision areas.

All the aforementioned activities were covered and broadcasted live on MediaOne news channel, by Mr. Shinoj Shams. It was telecasted on 8th October at 10 PM GMT time, Under the Mideast Hour segment of the channel. It was also posted on their Youtube channel and link is-
