OOB believes that regular communication and interaction with its parent community forms the cornerstone of the school’s success story. With this intent, a coffee morning was organised for the parents of the determined ones on 26th September, 2018. The workshop commenced with the SEN team welcoming the parents to the session and introducing the guest speaker, Ms Anu Margaret. Ms. Anu is a social worker and a child specialist working in a clinic under the umberella of NMC with 20 years of experience.
She briefed the parents about the learning strategies that could be employed as parental strategies at home with relatable examples. Various behavior strategies were discussed and ideas were shared. Some of the topics covered in her presentation were curriculum, importance of parental involvement, outcomes of psychiometric assessments and how to improve learning. She also touched upon behaviour management techniques with appropriate examples and shared a few case-studies. She gave tips on how to train children and the importance of timely intervention.
The Principal, Mr. Srivalsan Murugan, then addressed the gathering and reiterated the School Inclusion Policy and assured complete support from the school.
