The Annual Prize Day

2017-18

Skill, perseverance and commitment enables one to reach the pinnacle of success. Recognition of such attainments is significant as it serves as an encouragement and motivation to one and all.

In keeping with this spirit, the top achievers of the year 2017-18 were commended and recognized during the Annual Prize Day programme held in the Sheikh Zayed Multi-purpose Hall of the school on 7 June 2018. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Deen Ashraf, Life and Business Strategist and founder of Brains at Work. Following the welcome speech by the Head boy, Amaan Iqbal, the Principal Mr. Srivalsan Murugan addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements made by the school in the past year. He also spoke about the need to make most of life and to live in the moment. A comprehensive report of school activities was then presented by the Head boy, Amaan Iqbal, the President of the Student Council, Lenoah Chacko and the Sports Captain, Niel Lobo

The felicitation of prize winners from Grades 1 – 12 then commenced with students being lauded for accomplishments in curricular as well as co-curricular activities. Seven outstanding teachers were also commended and appreciated with the GEMS Teachers Awards for their dedicated services to the school and the student community. A special award was conferred on Smit Khandelwal for the indomitable spirit and courage that he embodies.

The Chief Guest in his inspirational address redefined the meaning of success and suggested ways to achieve the same. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Lenoah Chacko, President of the Student Council
