Tamoghna is a seasoned educator with over 2 decades of experience and counting, combining strong expertise in both teaching and academic leadership. With 12 years of classroom teaching experience in CBSE, IGCSE and CISCE curricula and 13 years in academic and administrative roles, including serving as the Head of Department, Academic Supervisor and Head of Section, he brings extensive experience with a strong track record of fostering academic excellence, pedagogical depth and strategic leadership.
Tamoghna maintains an excellent rapport with students and is widely respected by students and teachers for his approachable and supportive leadership style. Over the years, he has played a key role in fostering excellent academic outcomes, mentoring teachers through professional development sessions, and fostering a culture of reflective teaching and innovation.
A recipient of the GEMS Teacher Award and the GEMS Core Values Award, Tamoghna further distinguished himself as the Best Speaker at the inter-school teachers’ debate.
An alumnus of Don Bosco School, Liluah, an Honours graduate in English from Calcutta University and a Master’s Degree holder in English Literature from Rabindra Bharati University, Tamoghna also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education besides being a certified Cambridge IGCSE English Oral Examiner.
Tamoghna is passionate about developing student leadership, and unlocking student potential through innovation, entrepreneurship, and co-curricular excellence guiding initiatives that have enabled students to participate and excel in competitions, MUNs, public speaking forums, sustainability initiatives, and technology events. He has also led CBSE administration, pilot and regulatory processes in his previous capacities, and served as Centre Superintendent/Deputy Centre Superintendent for the CBSE Board Examinations.
Tamoghna firmly believes in future-ready education which empowers students to think critically, act ethically, be strongly rooted in their culture, whilst growing into responsible global citizens. In his view, meaningful learning occurs when the young minds are encouraged to question, reflect, and develop the confidence to think independently, particularly in this new era of Artificial Intelligence.
