Inspiring Leadership: Club Investiture 2024-25

On May 19, 2024, Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Boys, held its Club Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25. The event celebrated new student leaders across various clubs, featuring speeches, badge pinning, and performances to honour and inspire excellence. 

The ceremony began with the UAE National Anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur'an. Aditya Rajesh of 10G warmly welcomed the audience. In his insightful speech, our Principal and CEO, Mr. Srivalsan Murugan, emphasized the 3 Fs—Fit, Fashion, and Feature.  Vice Principal Ms. Sindhu P. Nair highlighted the importance of excelling not only academically but also in extracurricular activities, a proud defining feature of our school. 

The ceremony continued with the introduction of the school's various clubs and their new leaders. Clubs such as the Literary Club, Debating Society, Creative Artists' Club, and Tech Team were recognized for their contributions to student development. The Eco Club and SEWA Club were celebrated for their environmental and community service efforts, respectively. The Rhapsody Club, Photography Club, and Film Club were also acknowledged for their cultural and technical achievements. A highlight of the event was the pinning of badges, which was met with a mix of anxiety and excitement as each student stepped onto the stage. "It was an unforgettable moment," said the newly appointed Literary Club Secretary, Dhanraj. The performance of young members of the Rhapsody Club captivated the audience with their beautiful voice. Former Literary Club President Shiva Srinivasan, Vedas Kishore of the Youth Business Society, and Timothy Chummar from the Debating Society also delivered inspiring speeches, adding depth to the event.

The ceremony concluded with a final photo of all the new leaders, symbolizing the start of their leadership journey. This event reinforced the school's commitment to holistic student development through diverse extracurricular activities, leaving everyone inspired and ready for the year ahead.
