Unveiling Celestial Triumphs - Nujoom Al-Masa'aa

Nujoom Al-Masa'aa, meaning ,’Stars of the Evening’, the much-anticipated Annual Prize Day for the academic year 2022-23, unfolded with an air of grandeur and splendor at the Sheikh Zayed Multipurpose hall on the eve of 15th June 2023. The event was graced by the presence of illustrious guests including the Chief Guest, Mr. George Abraham, a distinguished Social entrepreneur, inspirational Speaker, and Disability Activist, Mr. Michael Guzder Senior Vice President, GEMS Education, Ms. Lalitha Suresh, Principal -  GEMS Our Own Indian School, Dubai, Ms. Lini Shivaprasad, Principal, Gems Millennium School ,Sharjah, Mr. Pramod Mahajan, Principal - Sharjah Indian School, Girls, Mr. Muhsin, Principal PACE International School and Mr. Ravish Thomas from Emirates National School, Sharjah.  Joining the luminaries were our Principal & CEO, Mr. Srivalsan Murugan, Vice Principal, Ms. Sindhu P. Nair, Heads of Sections, Supervisors, teachers, parents and students.
Headboy, Smaran Sreekanth Nair, in his welcome address, set the stage for an enchanting evening. The annual report, meticulously crafted, was read out by Smaran, along with the President of the Student Council, Mohammed Zafar, the Sports Captain Afsar Nisar, and the Advisor to the Student Council, Basil Sunil.  
In his captivating keynote address, Mr. George Abraham conveyed a profound message to the audience. He emphasized the significance of having dreams in life and the unwavering commitment, determination, and discipline required to achieve them. Amidst the competitive professional world, he urged the attendees to prioritize relationships and embody empathy. Mr. Abraham's uplifting words also stressed the joy of life's journey, advocating for a positive attitude and patience in overcoming challenges. He underscored the notion that happiness and personal fulfillment should supersede the pursuit of wealth, highlighting the importance of finding passion in work while fostering financial stability. In essence, Mr. George Abraham's message instilled a sense of hope, resilience, and a holistic perspective on living a meaningful and fulfilling life.
As the evening progressed, the audience was captivated by the celestial melodies crafted by musical geniuses, Muthaiah Bhaagavathar and Mark Burrows.  The stars of academic excellence from grades 5 to 12 were then felicitated for their remarkable achievements. The Principal's Award recognized four outstanding students: Philip Thomas Chummar, Adithya Anush, Samford Sebin, and Tarun Manoj Rawat.  The dedication and extraordinary accomplishments of the teaching staff were also acknowledged through the prestigious GEMS Teacher Awards. Ms. Bindu Sunilkumar, Ms. Mandeep Bhatia, Ms. Meagan D'Silva, Ms. Najla Idriss, Ms. Nana Sripriya, Ms. Nosheen Naeem, and Ms. Sunitha Sudhakaran were applauded for their exceptional commitment and tireless efforts in shaping young minds. Additionally, the esteemed Core Value Teacher Award was presented to Mr. Joy George. Three exceptional individuals from the support staff were felicitated for their remarkable talent and unparalleled commitment to work.  The crowning glory of the evening was the announcement of the Overall Championship, bestowed upon Jupiter House, a testament to the team’s indomitable spirit and hard work.  As the curtains drew close, Mohammed Zafar, President of the Student Council, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who made this event possible. The memories created on this starry night shall forever linger in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate to witness this enchanting celebration of brilliance and triumph.
