Bridging Gaps for a Sustainable Future

12 Sep 2023

The second Generation Global Video Conference for the academic Year (2023-24) on the topic 'Climate Change' was held on 12th September from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the science lab. Under the guidance of facilitator, Ms. Wadi Wardani from Indonesia, participating schools from Indonesia and India, along with students from OOB, came together for this global exchange.

During the conference, students first shared their opinions about introduction to climate change, including its causes, effects, and impacts and also the importance of taking action on climate change, and the different ways that individuals and societies can do so. Throughout the video conference, their enthusiasm, curiosity, and respect shone through as they confidently articulated their thoughts, fostering a rich and engaging dialogue.

Following these initial discussions, a question and answer session allowed students to clarify their queries, share their insights, and gain an enriching experience. This interactive session further strengthened their understanding and encouraged a more profound connection among the participants.

The conference provided students with a good overview of the science of climate change, the impacts of climate change, and the solutions to climate change.
