Cooperating is learning!

The teaching fraternity at OOB was delighted to be in the presence of Mr Johannes Bodenstein, the School Improvement Advisor for our school, on 23rd March 2023. He was instrumental in relaying to his listeners the unique ways in which to unlock the keys to cooperative learning. He went on to discuss the relevance of this style of instruction and, through a fruitful discussion, challenged any preconceived notions we might have had on the same. He reiterated how cooperative learning is not just about organizing students into groups while working but that it is about structuring classroom activities in such a manner that the students gain academic and social experiences. His highly engaging session on the topic was further made relevant when he demonstrated cooperative learning by involving the teachers themselves. We are certain that cooperative learning is here to stay at OOB!
