OOB CLINCHES THE TOP HONOURS AT THE FIRST EVER MADAM VARKEY MEMORIAL PITCH PERFECT COMPETITION

Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Boys, brought home yet another rolling trophy after earning top honours at the first-ever, Madam Varkey Memorial Pitch Perfect Competition organised by GEMS Our Own English High School, Al Warqa- Dubai.

Competing against more than 20 other participating schools, our boys qualified among the top five finalists in Category 2 and 3.

At the finals,  Nabhya Sharma of class 4D bagged the first position in category 2 for his flawless pitch on- ‘Why his favourite cartoon character must be given a special power?’.

At the same competition, Sreehari Deepu Nair of 8A won third place in category 3 after wowing the esteemed panel of judges with his ideas on- ‘How to maintain sustainability on a new planet?’

The combined scores of our boys together won us the overall trophy, received by the team of staff and students from the Founder and Chairman of the GEMS Education Group, Mr. Sunny Varkey.

This honour re- affirmed OOB’s belief in bringing out the best in our students by providing them opportunities to compete and excel at inter-school competitions and the emphasis on developing strong communication and persuasion skills of our students.
