Annual Athletic Meet 2025

30 Oct 2025

The much-awaited Annual Athletic Meet 2025 unfolded on 30th October, bringing together the spirit of competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event was graced by Mr. Tanish Suri, a celebrated UAE cricketer and the Chief Guest for the day. Mr. Suri, along with the Principal and CEO, Mr. Srivalsan Murugan, received the salute, marking the ceremonial opening of the meet.

In his inspiring address, Mr. Suri reminded all athletes that the path to success is always a hard one.  He advised students to work consistently, set clear goals, and never stop before reaching the destination. Addressing the gathering, our principal emphasized that a winner’s attitude is essential in every sphere of life. He spoke of sports being defined by passion and purpose and urged students to embody courage, confidence, and commitment in all that they do. He also took a moment to appreciate Mr. Suri’s father, who stood by his son at every stage of his sporting journey. “It is important not to focus on the roadblocks but on the destination ahead,” he said, adding that “winners have many parents, while failures are often orphans.” He wished every athlete the will to win and the wisdom to persevere.

The day witnessed a series of thrilling track and field events — from sprints to relays. Cheers from the stands and camaraderie among athletes reflected the true spirit of sportsmanship.  The highlight of the day was the announcement of the Overall Championship Trophy, which was proudly claimed by the Mars House.  The Individual Championship titles were bagged by Sayyad Affan (Mars) with 12 points in the Junior category, Zayan Ahmed (Neptune) with 15 points in the Intermediate category, Sahil Veeran (Mars) with 16 points in the Senior category, and Affan Mohammad (Mars) with an impressive 20 points in the Super Senior category.  Yet another highlight of the day was the teachers’ events, which added a lively and joyous touch to the meet. The Tug of War for gents, held between the staff and students, drew loud cheers and laughter from the audience, while the Cup toss relay game for the ladies showcased enthusiasm and teamwork.

As the cheers faded and the medals gleamed, one message stood tall — success begins with effort, and every milestone starts with the courage to begin.
