SuperKidz – Beat Diabetes Story Writing Competition

The SuperKidz – Beat Diabetes Story Writing Competition culminated in a vibrant and engaging event held on Sunday, 8 February at Zabeel Park. The programme brought together young writers, parents, educators, and organisers to celebrate creativity, awareness, and student voice.

A total of 11 students from OOB participated in the competition. Following the internal screening conducted at the school, Jadon Joseph of Class 5H was nominated as the school finalist and went on to win 3rd place at the event for his story titled “The Quest for Healthy Heroes.” Jadon was felicitated on stage by Dr. Funke Baffour, Corporate Head of Wellbeing, GEMS Education. He received a customised certificate and a gift voucher worth AED 1,000.

All participating students were acknowledged for their efforts with certificates and goodie bags.  The event served as a meaningful platform for students to showcase their creative thinking while engaging with important health-related themes. The enthusiastic participation of students and the support of parents made the event an enriching experience for all involved.
