National Lego Day

NATIONAL LEGO DAY

28 Jan 2026

The Kindergarten Department celebrated National LEGO Day on 28th January 2026, offering students a hands-on learning experience that encouraged creativity, problem-solving and fine motor development through play-based exploration.

KG1 students visited the STEAM room, where they enthusiastically engaged with LEGO materials to build a variety of models. Students worked individually and collaboratively to create houses, trains and imaginative figures, exploring different ways to connect and balance pieces. This activity supported the development of hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and early engineering skills, while encouraging students to express their ideas confidently.

KG2 students celebrated National LEGO Day within their classrooms. Using LEGO blocks, they were encouraged to think outside the box and design unique creations based on their own ideas. Students experimented with shapes, patterns and structures, demonstrating creativity and independent thinking while refining their fine motor skills and coordination.

National LEGO Day, therefore, provided a purposeful learning experience that supported the development of creativity, fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities through structured, play-based activities.
