Kindergarten Parent Orientation 2025-2026

25 Mar 2025

The Kindergarten team recently hosted orientation sessions for parents of KG1 and KG2 students. The on-site session was held on March 25, 2025, at the OOB Sheikh Zayed Multi-Purpose Hall for new parents of KG1 and KG2 students. Additionally, an online session via MS Teams was conducted on March 20, 2025, for existing KG1 students transitioning to KG2.

These sessions aimed to familiarize parents with the curriculum, school rules, and regulations for the upcoming  academic year, while also providing a valuable opportunity for students and parents to connect with their teachers in a welcoming environment.

Ms. Afia and Ms. Zehra, representing the speaker panel, warmly welcomed the students and their families. The session included an address from the Vice Principal, Ms. Sindhu. This was followed by a comprehensive overview presented by Ms. Priya, Head of Primary and Kindergarten, and Ms. Raisa, Kindergarten Supervisor.

The overview highlighted key aspects such as the school’s vision and values, the Kindergarten curriculum, academic expectations, extracurricular activities, school policies and procedures, and the school's facilities. Special mention was made of the school's prestigious WAS Award, HPS Gold Award, and its strong commitment to safeguarding children. In addition, parents were introduced to the GEMS Leadership Gemstones, which are meaningfully embedded into the curriculum to nurture leadership, character, and core values in students from an early age.

Parents were also informed about opportunities for involvement, aligning with the school's ‘Family First’ initiative. A Q&A session concluded the event to ensure all concerns were addressed.
As the Orientation concluded, parents were encouraged to maintain open communication with the school and to reach out with any further questions. Contact details and resources were shared to support ongoing collaboration in their child’s learning journey.

Furthermore, parents had the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher during the online ‘Meet and Greet’ session.
