MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
OOB marked Mental Health Month in May 2025 with a range of meaningful and age appropriate activities aimed at promoting mental well-being, self-awareness, and emotional resilience across the school community.
As part of the initiative, mental health themes were thoughtfully integrated into the curriculum, allowing students to make real-life connections through classroom learning. Activities throughout the month included creative reflections, writing prompts, group discussions, and interactive worksheets that encouraged students to explore emotions, express thoughts and build a strong sense of self.
Mental Health Month laid a strong foundation for the school’s ongoing well-being initiatives. Regular “feeling check-ins” during registration provide students with a safe space to express their emotions. Assemblies, integrated classroom practices, and dedicated initiatives such as “I Wish That My Teacher Knew” and “We Listen” ensure that mental health remains a year-round priority. Parental feedback and SPEA well-being surveys are consistently collected to reinforce the school-home partnership in supporting students' emotional and psychological well-being.
The month-long observance reflected the school’s continued commitment to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and mentally healthy environment where every student feels heard, supported and empowered.
