Gratitude in Action at OOB: Sewa Day 2025

On October 9, 2025, the Primary Department of Our Own English High School, Boys’ Sharjah, hosted a heartfelt event to celebrate the dedication and hard work of the school’s ancillary staff. This year’s Sewa Day was a beautiful expression of gratitude, aiming to instill empathy, kindness, and respect in students for those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth functioning of the school.

The programme began with a heartfelt welcome speech by the Junior Head Boy of the Primary Department, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the school’s ancillary staff. This was followed by an inspiring address from the Principal, who spoke about gratitude, empathy, and the vital role of these unsung heroes in the school community. The Primary Nightingales sang melodious tributes, and the Kinder Minions added cheer with a lively dance. Students expressed gratitude through speeches in Hindi, Malayalam, and Urdu, followed by fun games enjoyed by the ancillary staff.

As a gesture of appreciation, the ancillary staff received thoughtfully prepared gift bags, snacks, and fresh fruits generously contributed by students and staff. Sewa Day 2025 stood as a meaningful reminder that acts of kindness, gratitude, and service form the foundation of a truly caring school community.
