SHASTRA PRATIBHA CONTEST 2024-25

The Shastra Prathibha Contest (SPC) is a national science talent search competition for students in the UAE, organized by VIBHA (Vijnana Bharti) in collaboration with NCERT, Vigyan Prasar, and ISRO. This contest aims to popularize science among students in grades V to XII following the Indian curriculum. SPC identifies and nurtures bright minds to encourage them to pursue science-related subjects in higher education.

SPC-2024 was structured as a three-level contest to select sixteen Shastra Pratibhas, with two winners each from grades V to XII. The first two levels were home-based online MCQ exams, while the third level comprised a written test and a viva-voce for students who qualified in the initial rounds.

From our school, a total of 80, students across grades 5-12 registered for this prestigious contest. All participants received certificates of participation. Out of these, 10 outstanding students qualified for the Advanced level, received Certificates of Merit, trophy and will be awarded  75% scholarship from Meccademia. 

The advanced level qualifiers are:

  1. Muhammad Huzaifa – grade 5
  2. Gagan Krishna Sagar – grade 5
  3. Ashwin Aneesh Babu – grade 7
  4. Arnesh Sinha – grade 8
  5. Govardhan Vimal kumar – grade 8
  6. Anish Jena – grade 9
  7. Aditya Anush – grade 10
  8. Aditya Rajesh – grade 10
  9. Sreepadmanabhan Vimal kumar – grade 11
  10. Ashwel Rodrigues – grade 12

Among these meritorious students, Arnesh Sinha, Muhammad Huzaifa and Aditya Rajesh have emerged as the proud winners of the Shastra Prathibha Contest 2024. They have received a trophy, medal, certificates, and they will be awarded 90% scholarship from Meccademia and an educational tour to Lucknow, India.

The title winners and meritorious students were honored on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 3:30 am to 7:30 pm at the Gems Modern Academy, Nad Al Sheba. Dr. Archana Sharma, a scientist at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, was the chief guest. The event saw participation from 90 schools across various Emirates, with a total of 25,000 students. Of these, 1,878 students qualified for the intermediate level (out of which 1694 students attempted), and 88 advanced to the final level. Out of the 88 students, 10 were from Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Boys Branch. SIF announced 16 winners from across the UAE.

The sixteen awards were distributed among several esteemed schools, highlighting their exceptional achievements across various grade levels.
